Shri Geeta Manas
About the Book
Shri Geeta Manas is a poetic rendering of the Bhagavad Geeta into Hindi verse. Originally conceived on 4 May 2020, its initial form as a short poetic edition was published on 17 June 2021 (naming Laghu Gita Manas). Later, after much refinement, the full poetic composition was completed and presented in its classical form on 3 December 2022. What you now read is a unique combination of the original Sanskrit shlokas and their poetic Hindi interpretation.
Although the Gita’s essence can be conveyed simply through prose or free explanation, the challenge of misinterpretation remains. To prevent this, the meaning here is anchored in the original shlokas, ensuring clarity and authenticity. Each couplet, quatrain, or verse directly reflects the true essence of Shri Krishna’s words.
The aim of Shri Geeta Manas is not merely translation but preservation of both meaning and spirit. Readers will find not only the Hindi poetic form but also the original Sanskrit verses, giving them a holistic experience of devotion, literature, and wisdom.
